1.4f
Released on 04/08/2025
- Add DDNS client option to register publicly-accessible IP, instead of WAN interface IP.
- Improve IPv6 support for DDNS providers.
- Improve DDNS client support for several providers: Gandi, ddnss.dem, dnsexit, ipv64.net, and no-ip.com.
- Resolve issues with DDNS client registration over HTTPS at boot.
- Resolve issue of excessive IPS/IDS logging.
1.4e
Released on 03/31/2025
- Add support for IPsec Client, including mobile and S2S.
- Add support for third-party DDNS providers (controller support pending).
- Add support for 1, 2, 3, etc. prefix to Alta DDNS, to filter WAN connections. For example, 1.123456.ddns.manage.alta.inc would point to WAN1’s IP address of your Route10. DDNS certificate on Route10 is now a wildcard domain.
- Resolve issues with CAKE traffic-shaping over PPPoE connections.
- Resolve rare issue with multi-WAN marking packets for incorrect WAN.
- Firewall: Properly filter all traffic if no protocol is selected, instead of just TCP and UDP.
1.4d
Released on 03/20/2025
- Add support for WAN rate-limiting, using CAKE (under advanced WAN settings). Note that this disables hardware acceleration for WAN-destined packets, but can provide much better latency depending on the uplink.
1.4c
Released on 03/18/2025
- Automatically adjust WireGuard server/client ports if a conflict is detected.
1.4b
Released on 03/14/2025
- Add support for Multi-WAN, including fast failover and load balancing. *See notes below
- Add support for traditional WireGuard S2S VPNs.
Notes:
- Control 1.0w (or later) is required to leverage these new features.
- To enable load balancing, assign the same metric value to each WAN interface.
- Multi-WAN is IPv4 only in our initial release; IPv6 support is on the roadmap for a future release.
- IPv6 will continue to operate as it has in previous releases, independent of multi-WAN configuration.
1.3z
Released on 03/05/2025
- Add LAN subnet selection to initial setup process.
- Improve firewall rule handling when protocol is not specified.
Note: Multi-WAN and load-balancing were not included in this release due to an internal communication issue. We have taken corrective steps to prevent similar oversights, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

SPECIAL NOTE: Some early manufactured units require an automatic firmware update for the initial Bluetooth setup to succeed. If you don’t plan to use the mobile app to set up your Route10, this will not impact you. Otherwise, you can perform automatic firmware recovery by plugging the Route10’s WAN1 port into a working Ethernet connection with Internet access, and hold down the reset button while plugging in the power cord. Once the top light is on, you can release the reset button, and then wait for the green light to flash. If there is a red light, double-check that your network connection has Internet access. If the light is still white after 5 minutes, the Bluetooth firmware was already updated previously.
