Route10 Firmware 1.3v Released!

We’ve rolled out a new firmware update for Route10, offering the following improvements and changes:

  • Resolve issues with manually setting port speed.
  • Use the same MAC address for all bridges. This may require a reboot on switches with DHCP guard enabled. Switches connected to Alta’s cloud controller will automatically be rebooted if auto-update is enabled.
  • Improve system stability.

This update is being rolled out now. You can manually initiate the upgrade if you’d like, or it will automatically update overnight (if auto-updates are enabled). The complete, up-to-date changelog is available here:

As always, if you have questions or encounter any issues, feel free to reply here or start a new topic. Please include details about the issue so we can assist you effectively.

Just chiming in to confirm that this fixed an issue where connectivity to a device could drop completely when manually setting a port on the Route10 to run at 2.5Gbps. I was able to duplicate it when connecting the Route10 to a Mikrotik RB5009 on the Mikrotik’s 2.5Gb port. Connection now drops and is re-established as expected at 2.5Gbps.

May I ask is there any firmware roll back feature on the Route 10? Just in case something goes wrong, we can restore back the previous version.

Nothing that we can share here, but if you do have issues, please reach out to us and we can revert if need be.
