i would if i could connect to it. if you got any info on what i could be mssing please let me know

It may be linked to the IP address of the device. On the site it said 192.168.11.1 but it may be different. Also, I never played with that SFP+ module (i wish but not yet) so I may not the best to help you, sorry on that one.

If you find out a way, let me know please

I find out that this guide is a lot better,

Nice! I have one too, I just haven’t gotten around to fully configuring it. I did install firmware 2.8.0 from the 8311 community, but that’s it so far. I connected it behind my LAN to access it, I did not try it on a WAN port.

Based on that, connect it to an SFP+ port set to standard mode and set the native VLAN on that port to 192.168.11.254/24 during this process (you can revert after). The 192.168.11.1 will be in the default reserved range, so nothing should get that IP. Please be mindful if you connect a device on that VLAN though, as the first DHCP address handed out will be .1, which would cause a conflict.

I was able to access mine without even having my computer in the same VLAN, so I suspect you should have no issue doing that. That said, I had my WAS-110 wired to a switch on my main network, and not my Route10 when I did it… but it should still work the same way there.

Thank you for you that. I got to work by setting static ip and the gateway. but now i cant access it again. it does pull a ipv4 from my ISP and i do have internet access but i cant go on to the 192.168.11.1 even when i try to set the static ip

I do have to say, the Controller UI is very confusing and very buggy. cant even do a proper reset. but the router works fine

Are you referring to a reboot of a device?

Reset. to delete all setting.

On the Network tab, click the Trash Can icon on the far right for the device you wish to default and release from that site. After a moment, it will be manageable on any site again as it will be in a default state.

I did that. but my all previous changes stayed and nothing was deleted.

i cant even remove a device from my list thats even connected

The device has to be in a connected state in order for it to receive the message to default itself. If it’s in a disconnected state, it can’t receive the message to factory default.

its connected. but will try again

It doesn’t work unfortunately

Can you share a screenshot of your Network tab, please?

Is it that the Route10 doesn’t delete at all?

If not, the settings are stored to the site itself. e.g. if you set up a VLAN or make modifications to the default subnet, then delete the device and remanage it, it will just take the same settings as before. If you’re wanting to start with a blank slate:

  1. Delete the device
  2. Create a new site
  3. Set Up the device on the new site

Alternatively, you can create the new site, then move the device to that site. To do so, click the icon of the device and you’ll have a “Move To” option with a dropdown of all the sites you can move the device to.
