Man I wish it had fixed everything for me. It did fix multicast devices dropping offline, but now some of my IoT devices are back in a connect / disconnect loop. I had this problem early on and they fixed it with a firmware update. This firmware update brought the problem back.
multicasting issue is fixed, I have not notice the iOT device dropping issue but it may be due to the fact that I have created a separate SSID just for iOT devices and set that SSID to 2ghz only. I always seem to have major issues with iOT devices and 2ghz/5ghz especially when wifi devices like eero or Orbi don’t let you create a 2ghz only network. The devices keep trying to connect to 5ghz even though they are not 5ghz capable.
Yeah, same for me. I already have the IoT SSID set to 2.4Ghz only and the rate turned down to 1000Kbps. I don’t know what they changed to fix it last time, but I’m hoping they can do it again
@Alta-Jeff I sent you the MAC addresses you asked for over on discord. The system is back up and you can take a look any time
Any news on this?
Today my AP6 Pro arrived and I replaced an Aruba AP15. Now I have the same multicast(?) issues. For example I cannot reach my elgato keylight. I can ping the devices, but I can’t control it via the application (MacBook/iPhone)
Network Setup:
Firewalla Gold (mDNS reflector for the IoT VLAN is enabled)
Two VLANs: private (laptops, iPhones, Sonos,…) and IoT (some IoT devices, keylight, google devices)
two specific SSIDs (IoT SSID only 2.4)
Other network gear: 2x Aruba Instant On APP 22 and 2x Aruba Instant On 1930 Switches
