Feature feature suggestion

If there is not such a feature on the road map, may I suggest having an option to allow the local controller to connect to a local SMTP server within the network?

From what I have observed with the email generated for the local controller, the emails are originated from amazonses.com. This does make sense for the manage.alta.inc. I am questioning why for the local controller.

Email the controller needs to send out have to connect to the internet to then be received from the internet to the SMTP mail server. I am asking if it is possible to avoid the hop externally.

Thank you

Best bet is to make it a feature request under Feature Requests as that way people can vote on it

But yes I agree. The local controller currently (as I understand it) doesn’t take any config from the controller. But they will probs change it.

I added the request to that category –

Yes, this is already on the near-term roadmap, as well as custom certs/domains for those who do not want to be dependent on alta.inc DNS at all.

I would interested in that as I have custom certs but from Let’s Encrypt and my own Certificate Authority as well as custom domains that are only defined within the local network (not the interent)
