Like other forum users that noticed very high temps for the AP6W, I was also a bit uneasy about my AP being so hot that I couldn’t touch the back plate for more than a couple of seconds, so I decided to create my first 3D model
This helped reduce the temperature from 73°C (163°F) to 61°C (142°F).
Nice job. Hate to say this but I wish we did not need this. These unit run way to hot. I have said it before you are not winning any awards for making the smallest access point. Make the units bigger so that the heat sink is bigger and it cools better.
