2nd AP now showing disconnected even though it is connected

Just yesterday my second AP is showing disconnected in Alta control. Self-hosted on version 1.0h. Although it is connected as I can ping it. It’s connected in mesh mode to my main AP. Even when I plug it diretly into the switch it still shows disconnected. I have recreated the docker container and reset both AP’s. Basically starting from scratch but to no avail. If I only have 1 AP connected it connects but no longer seems to like the 2 together. Any ideas

Welcome to the community

What happens if you go to the IP address in the web browser to the AP not connected?

Hey, thanks for the welcome. I get this:

I can also SSH to the AP

I think you can try the following:

/etc/init.d/rc stop
echo http://local.12345678.ddns.manage.alta.inc > /cfg/domain.txt
rm /cfg/rcapi.txt
/etc/init.d/rc start

Make sure you put your actual server address

It also might be worth trying another browser to see if it lets you access the Basic Web GUI

Thanks, that sorted it. Still don’t have local access to either AP but at least the controller is seeing them both now. Thanks for your help

It’s my pleasure

When you say local access? The webGUI disables once it connects to the controller

Thanks, get you now. So the local web access for the AP is only accessible whilst it isn’t connected to a controller. Appreciate the help, glad to have it all working again. I was previously all Ubiquiti gear, but really loving the Alta products, just keep getting better

Awesome news! Yeah any issues give us a shout!
