I was wondering why ZeroWait DFS is not already implemented into the AP6/Pro since it can do a channel scan without interruption.
At the moment the wireless connection is lost when switching to another DFS channel and needs upto 10min to come back online.
@bsdmonster Our APs already support Zero-wait DFS, and should be able to change as long as the scanning radio has had time to verify another DFS channel. Can you detail exactly how you are testing this, and which country you are in?
My location is Germany. I selected the channel 100 manually with 80 MHZ.
Then I changed the bandwidth from 80 MHz to 160 Mhz. The 5GHz Wifi instantly goes down after that and comes back online after 10min.
Did you wait 10 minutes while you were initially on channel 100 with 80 MHz, before you switched to 160 MHz?
I did not wait 10 minutes before switching to 160 MHZ.
You will need to wait the initial 10 minutes immediately after reboot so that the device knows which channels are available when performing Zero wait DFS. This is standard behavior for devices that support zero-wait DFS.
