WPA3 compatibility hiccup

My Dear Alta Community!

I have become a very happy customer of the products and delighted of watching my dashboard all the time. I wanted to ask for advice what could be the issue in my case.

My current setup is the following for my homelab:

  • 1x Route10
  • 1x AP6Pro
  • 1x S8-POE

For some reason, the access point don’t want to allow a device to connect to it when I enable WPA3. The smartphone is a Galaxy S25FE. Surprisingly, my S23 Ultra will connect without any problems at all, but that device is giving me a headache.

My question to my fellow community members is, am I doing something wrong? Is it related to a password specific issue? I don’t really want to keep the wireless network on WPA2 if I don’t need to.

Sorry if I created a big topic for this. Looking forward for your discussions!

Are you setting WPA3 and PMF to Required or On? On will enable transition-mode, which would be more compatible, and Required is more strict, and as secure as possible.

I set it “On.” I didn’t try the “required” option yet.
