Wi-Fi CERTIFIED QoS Management

Quick question for the powers that be. I had someone approach me asking if the access points we used (Alta’s being among them) supported Wi-Fi CERTIFIED QoS Management.

After a bit more chatting, they were at least specifically interested in making sure an AP supported the technologies listed in the certification, which appear to be the following:

Those specifications were pulled from the wi-fi.org website and this PDF as well

Thanks everyone!

Alta Labs APs support standard 802.11e QoS management out of the box. If you want to configure DSCP mappings, you can do so using the power user settings “hostapd” option “qos_map_set”, which documentation can be found here: https://w1.fi/cgit/hostap/plain/hostapd/hostapd.conf

I can DM you an example config that has worked well for us.
