Thought they intended on reworking the wall mounting plate/process. Doesn’t appear that it was done.
No, but it does look like the ceiling mount is now steel. Hopefully it has less “give” than the existing mount and will be easier to get the AP to snap onto.
Watched the today’s Alta Live event and I’m ready to try out their new AP7-Pro. As an end user I previously purchased Alta’s Route10 & APs from Amazon. Unfortunately, they also mentioned Amazon will be receiving their stock later rather than sooner. Alta’s website currently only lists one US based reseller. All the others are listed as “Master Distributor.” Just wondering if that is still the case?
I would just reach out to one of them and see if they are willing to accommodate you. You would probably have to pay a bit more than standard pricing but that just comes down to how badly you want that product.
For those in the UK, WifiGear have started listing them for expected drop next Tuesday/Wednesday.

I wonder if we can purchase the metal mounts separately.
I believe Chase said they would be selling them separately but at a later date, just focused on meeting current demand of the AP7’s at the moment.
Does anybody know the price??
$299 for now. They mentioned in the latest live webinar they’d like to potentially bring that down once memory prices come down.

Not on Amazon yet I can say I’ve been wanting to buy but having to delay. Trying to track down a vendor is not worth it, but waiting also is getting tiring. Any update?
