What's the recommended way of setting up a route10 to replace a router?

I have an ER-4 that I’d like to seamlessly replace with the route 10. It has a bunch of port forwards and dhcp reservations - and a few vlans.
I’ve installed a controller on my home server. I’ve managed to switch the subnet of the route 10 to match the subnet of my default vlan. The only way I’ve figured out how to get on the route10 is to attach the wan to a different vlan/subnet and then ssh to the route10 and use uci to disable the dhcp server. Is there away to bulk load a bunch of dhcp reservations? Maybe a configuration file on the controller?
This seems overly complicated. I hope I’m missing something.

I see you have import/export for both firewall and port forwarding - which is great! (Although documentation for the json would be nice.)
Perhaps the same could be done for vlan/subnets?
