I have a few devices on my wireless that I’m attempting to identify, and being able to view the full dpi data (where traffic is heading to/from, etc) would be very helpful. All I can see is very basic data. Is there a way to see this full data somewhere?
To my knowledge that information isn’t available, aside from just the general up/down info. Although perhaps someone like @Alta-MikeD or @Alta-Jeff could confirm that there isn’t a way from the CLI to pull some of that.
I agree that would be very helpful though!
If you log into the Alta device your client is connected to (shift-click on the name of it) and run rcstats-mon you can see the low-level stats that are being sent once per second to the controller. Not sure if this is what you want, but that’s the raw data.
Oh, interesting! I’ll have to check that out and see what it looks like. Not to put words into @tfmm 's mouth but thinking on it more I think they might be looking for something more like more detailed traffic flow information with DPI. Something like “this type of traffic is going to/from this device at this specific time”.
@jmszuch is right, I’m looking more for detailed traffic flows with destination/source information.
