Update to 1.3r to reduce SFP+ 10GbE speed to 1GbE unless full unplug+manual restart

Noticed immediate last night after updating to firmware 1.3r that after the automatic restart, my Sonic.net 10GbE connection (via Ubiquiti SFP+ RJ45 module in WAN 2, nothing plugged into the WAN1) was reduced 1GbE only.

During the update+auto restart, nothing was unplugged as I had successful prior updates and I was physically remote.

tried changing to speed in the Cloud controller/management UI for WAN2 from Default to Auto, but it had no effect. In fact, the dropdown menu options at the time was just 1G or below. So I’m guessing something in the new firmware update broke causing the Route10 to fail to establish the network connection at 10GbE)

I tried unplugging the Cat6a cable and the plugging in again, which also had no effect. Same for when I pulled the SFP+ module out.

The only thing that worked was unplugging the power to the Route10 (with no port in use), then plugging the power back in to restart, and then re-plug in for WAN2 (and then LAN4, because I only use a SFP+ DAC to connect to a downstream device).

Did you check if it was only a GUI dispaly issue? I checked it on my side aswell, but only the web GUI / APP said 1G. Over the terminal, the ports reported the right speed:

Also the same on the switch side:

Yes, I had checked using multiple speed tests last night and this morning to know the issue. It was clear that the connection was stuck at 1G only (and not a GUI issue) as it didn’t get resolved until i resorted to fully unplugging the Route10 and power to restart it manually like i described in my original message.
