Hello, can I place a third-party switch between your APs (AP6) and your router/gateway (route10)? Will the local controller still work to configure?
Will the switch show up in the controller? As activity on the port, I assume.
Should work just fine! As long as the other Alta devices can talk to the local controller I believe that should work without an issue.
In my experience the switch won’t show up in the controller as a network device, but depending on the switch it might show up in the map. Also devices on the network should indicate that they are connected to whatever port the switch connects to the router on at least.
