The ability for an AP used as PTP

Can there be an option for the Meshed APs to have the ability to turn off the radios for broadcasting the SSID, while only receiving the mesh network, and then use the port to provide internet in areas where running a wire is not possible? Like a PTP device.

I would really like this as well. I had to go a different route when I tried this in our warehouse. I would love two AP6s to be able to PtP, but the receiving PtP would not transmit any SSIDs and basically be used as a “wired” backhaul into an Alta switch. I tried that exact scenario in our warehouse, and the switch was not happy. It would pass internet, but could never connect to the controller (cloud).

Yes, this already works great. Just make sure the AP has no SSIDs assigned to it, and it will mesh to the wired port.

Hmm. I will have to try it again sometime. When it had no SSIDs, it would not mesh with the other access points. When I applied one SSID, it meshed without any issues, but the wired connection would freak out frequently. Both devices did not stay connected to the controller, but eventually we scrapped the idea and just used a separate networking device to achieve basic PTP for our mobile amp RMA area.
