Surpassing 100 devices

Hi team,
I was just wondering Im now starting to surpass 100 devices on my home network and I will probably get a few more the coming weeks (smart home). Is it time to change from “Standard” to “Large” or shall I stick with Standard?

What is the difference, I know the help-text says below 100 devices for Standard.

I tested to change to Large but all my Shelly devices and Nest stuff stopped working.

Your IoT devices should be moved to live in their own VLAN and subnet first.

100% agree with @Alta-Josh. Additionally, here is some reading material.

Yea just found that thanks!

Very true, however I’m kind of new to this so please advice…

I thought the Standard, Big, Internet, IoT did not have anything to do with subnetting, thats a different thing which I understand is highly recommended. I was thinking it had more to do with broadcasting etc…

I can still have Standard and have 150 wireless clients (eventhough recommendation says below 100 clients?)

Sure, you decide when to change the network profile based on your network needs and performance considerations. However, the problem you described regarding the devices that stopped working is because they should be separately managed from your standard network instead. Best practice is to VLAN them out.
