Subnetting help for my network

Hi, I need some help to understand the subnetting and best practices…its a home network and I need to learn!
Since various clients needs to talk to other clients on other subnets? will this security layer seems to be way more complex than I thought so I need assistance.

My idea on the route10:
192.168.0.0/24 - PC, macs, phones (15+)
192.168.10.0/24 - Servers, services like pi-hole etc… (10+)
192.168.20.0/16 - Guests (will not have 16k+ clients, just for fun)
192.168.30.0/24 - IoT (70+ devices)

On the Wifi settings
I select each SSID to the corresponding VLAN.

Im not sure I shall have all devices on the IoT network since they are not only talking to online services…(also local)

  • If I would like my mac and mobile phone to be able to connect to Shelly or lawn mower on the IoT network what do I have to do?
  • My Home assistant and Homey Pro needs to connect to devices on the IoT network.
  • If I want all clients in all subnets to go via the pi-hole on 192.168.10.5 address? how does that work?

Suggest you use a subnet calculator to look at the IP start and finish ranges for those suggestions.

Yea should say 172.16.0.0/16… my bad, but will stay with 192.168.20.0/24
