Popping onto the forum for a sanity check…
I’m using the SPF+ ports on the route 10.
I’ve tried a couple of copper transceivers now 10Gtek ASF-10G-T80 and Luleey 80m(Broadcom BCM84891L). The idea was they’re both the low power Broadcom based chips so shouldn’t get as hot as the other higher wattage ones.
Both work fine for 10 gig connections (to another switch) and 2.5 gig connections (My PC) but I can’t get either to work on 1 gig.
The PC does show white when connected which according to the charts https://help.alta.inc/hc/en-us/articles/40647448768923-Ethernet-SFP-Speed-Settings means the Route10 thinks it’s a 10 gig connection, the PC show’s 2.5.
My first thought with the Luleey was they weren’t compatible as they’re not such a common make so was going to enter them as a cross in the Compatibility Results — Alta Labs
but with the 10Gtek doing the same and they’re listed as working fine I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong. I’ve tried altering the speeds on the port with no success…
Any help appreciated and once I know I’ll add the Luleey to the compatibility database.
Cheers
Adam
