there is no site to site configuration.

Could perhaps a VPN-server on one site and a VPN-client on another site be considered a site to site setup? So, the documentation @mentalinc referred to might still be the one?

No. its a server - client not a tunnel site to site

Ah, sorry. I was of the impression that a server was needed at one location and a client at some other location to create a tunnel from one site to another.

can I use a static IP (public) as the hostname or I have to use the dynamic dns address created by alta?

Thanks, Jeff! Any chance we could get this written up as a help article as well when someone has time? Even if it’s initially just an article with a link to this video, I imagine that would be helpful for anyone searching in the future.

You can use either static IP or hostname. That’s just the address that the VPN client will initially try to connect to, and then use remote/local IDs, etc to authenticate.

We have been working on that, and should be able to publish it soon.
