Is there any chance for a s8 refresh sometime in the foreseeable future? I’d love to see some of the features available on other Alta devices make it to the S8. Everyone please feel free to add your own most wanted features below but for me they are:
POE input
POE pass-through
2.5 gig ports
There’s some discussion on a pretty beefy S8 upgrade being in the works on the road map live stream from a couple of weeks ago or so 
Although I certainly wouldn’t mind something more in between like the one talked about here as well.
Its a bit pricey from the sounds of it. More towards S48 POE price. A nice multigig 8 port poe with sfp+ would be more afforable and sell like hotcakes.
Don’t for get a PoE budget of 150W
