S12 Fan Pulsating - Anyway to set a higher min to hopefully stop it?

I recently got a S12 switch from amazon and hooked it up. I noticed that the CPU tends to go up to around 10% constantly from rcstats and swd which isn’t really that big of a deal but it makes the fan constantly sound like a car reving it’s engine. Is there any way to set the fan to just have a lower min so it quits this ramping up and down stuff it’s doing? It is weird since the processor seems to not even be used during large transfers or anything but does with whatever is using rcstats and swd.

When I say engine reving like someone is short shifting a car like constantly. So much so I’m debating if I should just switch back to my old 10gb till I have an answer as this is a bit insane. It should be a fan curve not whatever this is.

That’s definitely something we haven’t seen before. I’ll DM you with some commands and potential firmware to try later today or tomorrow.

The solution that alta support gave me was to full reset the switch

https://help.alta.inc/hc/en-us/articles/41370872297371-Firmware-Bootstrapping-A-K-A-Power-on-Reset

After that it gives you the option to redo the update. After I did the update it actually started doing it again and thought it had failed or something again. After about 36 minutes of uptime though I realized I wasn’t hearing the race car driver any longer. He has been lobotomized #_#.. thus far tis a good switch though.
