Route10 wan vlan taggings

Hi,

My ISP WAN has two vlans tagged

VLAN 10 - internet
VLAN 20 - IPTV

I am a beginner/novice at networking; The trouble is I am unable to find a way to bridge the vlan20 tag to the port for my IPTV. If the WAN is setup to VLAN 10 (and to allow online controller access), all VLAN 10 traffic is untagged from VLAN 10 from my wan port. I am left wondering how to untag VLAN20 traffic to my IPTV port.

On my microtik router, I was able to create VLAN10 (with dhcp) and VLAN20 (bridge) trunk and bridge the ports accordingly. Is there anyway I can achieve a similar setup here?

That is an intresting one, most routers have a IPTV setting

Think the Alta Team may be able to shine some light on this.

At present you only have the WAN VLAN TAG

In theory you could have 3 tags over the WAN interface:

**WAN VLAN **
**VOIP VLAN **
IPTV VLAN

This is an example of OPENWRT

Yes, I am able to assign VLAN 10 to WAN1, and then assign WAN1 to the WAN port. The problem is there is two VLANs tagged on my single WAN port.

I need to be able to split the traffic from the two VLAN ids into separate networks (WAN for VLAN 10 works fine), and then create a bridge for VLAN 20. At the moment, I see no way to do this in the UI.

At the moment, this is how its configured on my microtik.

Like I said - there is at present NO additional IPTV/VOIP VLAN support on WAN interface using the GUI.

There may be a CLI based woraround, but ALTA team would need to help with that.

Hopefully this will be worked on IPTV VLAN on WAN is baked into most ISP and domestic home routers.

Good to know I am not going crazy here. Spent an hour trying different things and I realized i just wasn’t able to do with the web UI.

looks like it is possible via CLI - may be someone from ALTA can help you get this working.

I have decided to return the route 10.

Unfortunately, the lack of basic vlan management on the switch makes it unusable for my use case. Thanks for your help.
