Route10 Setup (LAN Subnets/VLANs)

Hey everyone!

The stack is almost complete… I just ordered my Route10 and am waiting for it to be delivered… so… yay! I have access to the “Firewall” tab in my controller and had some questions regarding custom default subnets and VLAN’s.

  • My flat LAN is 192.168.45.x
  • Server VLAN 30 (192.168.30.x)
  • Guests VLAN 40 (192.168.40/x)

I dont see the ability to create these in the portal right now - My question is; Is this configurable? And, Is it as intuitive as the rest of the stack?

Seriously looking forward to the speed upgrades over my current firewall!

Would also like to see flow within control to create zone for each VLAN if needed.

Yes, this is very doable.

To get to the configuration, click the icon of the Route10 from the Devices tab:

Click the + with the circle around icon it to add a VLAN and give it a configuration.
Click the pencil icon to edit the existing VLAN that’s selected in the dropdown box on the right.

@Alta-Matt_v2 thank you! How about the DHCP part of the config? My VLANs should be ok (already setup on the switch stack) but my current Firewalla handles DHCP. Is that configurable here as well?

Very excited to get the new hardware!

Yes, absolutely.
