Hi,
I just received the Starter Pack package. Everything works except for the Route10. The router itself functions, but the LAN3 port is not working. All the other ports are fine. Is there a way to diagnose the issue, or should I proceed with a warranty claim?
OK, I’m not sure what’s going on, but every time I restarted the router without a cable plugged into the LAN port, the port didn’t work. However, when I restarted the device with a cable plugged in, the port suddenly started working. Just sharing this for future reference in case anyone else encounters this.
That is odd, and unexpected.
Are you using the same cable and device every time in testing? By chance did you, or can you, try that PD and cable on another LAN interface to see if it behaves the same, or not? Or inversely, can you try another device and cable on the problematic interface?
So, here’s the situation: yes, I tried 3 different cables with 2 computers and one USB LAN adapter, and the result was always the same. The restarts were done maybe twice without cables, and I tried multiple connection attempts, but in none of the configurations did the port work. Of course, the cables connected to the switch on my desk worked every time. I also tried changing the speeds in the panel, but it didn’t help. Ultimately, as I mentioned, after restarting with a cable plugged into that port, it worked. Now the port works regardless of whether something is plugged in during startup or not. When I plug in a cable, the connection is established.

Thanks for taking the time to share those details. It sounds like most of the testing was focused on that specific port which is okay. I’m glad it’s working now. Still odd and unexpected.
Given that it’s working, I don’t think there is much else we can do immediately but please do let us know if it happens again.
No problem, maybe it’ll be helpful to someone, though hopefully not… I’ll definitely let you know if anything else unusual comes up. For now, I’m struggling to integrate the Route10 into the existing network with a local controller, but so far without success.
Perfect, thanks!
This probably would be better for a new topic, but I can always break it into one after so no need to worry about that now.
What issue(s) are you having with getting it integrated? Do you have the Control hardware? Or are you running the software on an existing system? We have more planned improvements for initial setup of Route10, but they aren’t here yet. While this can make it less than ideal, there should still be a way to make it happen.
I am happy to help you work through it. Please let me know.
