When doing download and upload tests, both DL and UL show almost identical. I have attached three screenshots, one while doing a download test, one while doing the upload part of the test, and overall usage which shows I have downloaded and uploaded roughly the same amount of data - which isn’t accurate.
I can confirm I have the same issues on my side. My realtime is sometimes empty for both upload & download.
Agree have the same.
Understanding elsewhere is that the data going through any port counts as upload and download..instead of just measuring data through the WAN port

This is expected behavior if you have the same amount of data going out of the Route10’s WAN port as what is coming into a LAN port. If you want to break up the WAN vs LAN traffic, you can look at the client devices themselves, or look at the per-port traffic on the Route10’s device window.

Hmm, yeah, that does break things up a bit when looking at the traffic graphs there 
Although that does give me an idea for a little feature request…
