Route10 Firmware 1.4x Released!

A new firmware release is now available for Route10, delivering improved security observability and more consistent route handling in multi-WAN environments leveraging dynamic routing.

  • Add support for logging IDS alerts to system log.
  • Resolve issues with multi-WAN not adding default routes obtained via BGP.

This update is being rolled out now. You can manually initiate the upgrade if you’d like, or it will automatically update overnight (if auto-updates are enabled). The complete, up-to-date changelog is available here:

Just popped in to report no issues applying the firmware update. It’s cool seeing more of what Suricata is doing in the logs as well. Thanks!

Update applied fine, no ipv4 issues after this reboot. Not sure if luck or a fix? @Alta-MikeD

Not sure if this is necessarily relevant but I have auto updates disabled and was holding off on this update. I rebooted the Route10 from the device menu and it applied this update. Currently not at the site and it hasn’t come back up. Unsure if it’s related to the update or something else, as I was working with a test policy.

11a CDT: Back in after a reboot. Looks like maybe it didn’t update? Weird behavior. Disregard, please.

Any chance Persistent Logging was turned on? I’d imagine support would be interested in taking a look at the logs if something funky happened
