I keep trying to change it to a LAN port, have deleted WAN2, and it keeps changing back. So I just moved the 500 degree SFP+ to the port next to it and got on with my life but I’d like to use that port. Is this a bug or a feature?
Yup. Did that. Eventually while setting up other interfaces it is back to WAN.
EDIT: I have a suspicion that if it is the last thing I setup the setting will stick.
I don’t experience this value resetting here, no matter how many options I’ve changed.
Did you get everything working?
I had to abandon that port.
By chance were you using the iOS app? Or are you configuring it via the web?
If it’s the former, it may be related to another bug report that is under investigation (where W2 interface reverts from WAN2 config to WAN, at least visibly). If it’s the latter, then it may be a browser caching issue and could be verified by checking the configuration pushed to the device, vs what’s reported in the Control interface.
I’ll take a look at that. In the short term I think I’m just going to get more familiar with it and worry about that port when I need it. Which will be soon but not immediately.
Thanks for your help.
That’s totally fair. If you decide to revisit the provisioning on that interface in the future, we’d be happy to help troubleshoot because what you wanted to do should’ve worked just fine.
Tried again. Seems to be working. So some kind of browser thing I’m assuming.
Thanks for letting us know. Usually in the case when the browser has a caching issue, it’s just reverting in the front end, what you requested to be provisioned typically will still get provisioned (or should).
I’m glad it’s working as expected for you now. Thanks again for following up.
