"Push config" option needed in control?

It seems like Alta devices do not “pull” their config from control when they boot or reboot. It seems like individual changes are “pushed” only when you actively configure or change something, and it only adjusts that one thing you changed. I feel like we need a “push config” option when things get a bit out of sync.

If you want an example of this being a problem, my S24-POE switch is configured for POE being disabled on ports 1-3 in control. However, if I power down my S24-POE and power it back up, those ports 1-3 have POE enabled again. I have to go into control and cycle the ports between “default” and “Off” again every time.

@rutman286 We cannot reproduce the issue you are seeing. Can you please document exactly how you are causing the issue, and include whether you are using a local controller, with version?

Sure thing!

I am using the cloud controller. You are on my site, so you can go check it out right now as a matter of fact. I just powered my S24-POE back on. The problem exists right now. All I have to do is unplug power to the switch, wait like 30 seconds, the power it back on. POE will be re-enabled as I am observing here.

Are you using the default vlan for management or are you using a custom vlan-id?

I am using the default VLAN 1 for management.
