POE power icon visible when POE setting OFF and non-POE device attached to port

I confirmed this morning that POE was still enabled on the port. I originally changed POE to “off” when the switch was not online.

This seems to have been the case for me as well, though I am very confident that the S8 was very much up and running and I also toggled the setting back and forth a few times while discovering this. Anyway, now, the command as per

You can use this via shell to check the port status poe -p 0, which should give you the details (port count starts at 0 with this command, so interface 1 is 0, interface 2 is 1, etc). Specifically there is an Enabled parameter, and it should so 0 when PoE on the port is disabled.

showed Enabled=1 while UI was at POE = Off (two ports) or Default (another two ports).

I toggled it back and forth and now it reports Enabled = 0, so I it is supposedly off now, though I don’t have the NAS plugged in there at the moment and can confirm the POE icon to be gone.
