Plans for NAT6 kernel support or NDP proxy implementation on Route10?

Team Alta, any plans for adding the required kernel modules for NAT6 and/or NDP proxy implementation atleast in CLI for folks that are stuck behind CGNAT (NAT464) such as T-Mobile Home Internet or other 5G FWA setups where the provider only assigns a single /64 and with where route10 is positioned on the network the interface designated for WAN usually ends of getting the assigned global /64 prefix. So it warrants use of ULA addressing for VLANs that are configured so having NAT6 support helps putting workaround in place where some applications don’t play well with NAT464.

NAT66 is something we plan to fully support in the not too distant future. For the immediate future, later this week I’ll try enabling the kernel module and giving it a sanity check. If that doesn’t cause any grief, we’ll make it available for those who want to hack it in the mean time.

The other option requires both a NDP proxy (easy) and the ability to assign the WAN-side subnet to a LAN bridge (not as easy). That wouldn’t be a very viable one to hack in if we just included the package. It is something I’d like to see supported, but there’s a whole list of much more widely-applicable things we need to implement first.

Appreciate the feedback! I’ll follow up later this week after the aforementioned testing.
