Outdoor Rated Switch

We do a lot of outdoor installs. I think it would be great to have an outdoor rated switch. What do you guys think?

I’m into it! Are you thinking of something like a switch that’s built into a protective enclosure?

Not opposed to that idea! I think Intellinet has something similar!

Something like the NetPower line did pop into my head when initially thinking about a switch for the outdoors

I’ve personally never experienced a meltdown or failed TiK from heat or humidity.

True story, I discovered one that was literally acting as a roach motel and operating with no issues. They just work. :joy:

That’s kinda cool but also absoutely horifying lol

So yeah, if Alta were to decide to pursue an outdoor switch I think the Roach Motel Test would need to be added to the QA suite :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ll add that to the never ending abyss of feature requests.

In addition to ants, termites, snakes, wasps. They all need motels.
