No devices connected to new AP

I am migrating from eero to Alta labs.
I turned off my first eeeo and place AP Pro 6 in the same location. Eero had 14 devices connected with it. I had to remove eero from its management app and than disconnect. When eero was removed the devices may have connected with other eeros in my home.
I added my first AP pro 6 and setup a WiFi network. I kept the SSID and password to be the same. In a few minutes I saw 10 devices connect with it.

Next I removed my second eero. It was in my family room and there were 20 devices connected with it. I added AP Pro 6 in the same spot. It has been 6 hours. I only saw my Mac Book Pro connected with this AP. I was expected al least some devices connect with this new AP. How can I make sure it is working?

My hope was to fully turn off the eeros but I did not receive a power supply with my AP switch so I am stuck with concurrent WiFi networks. I want to make sure I have adequate WiFi coverage before I turn off all eeros.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for me.

The best and most reliable way to ensure that your clients connect is to forget the old network and add the new one. Your access point has changed, and it’s very insecure for a client to assume that the SSID has not been hijacked by another actor on your network.

Of course many clients just don’t care, and will do so without any checking whatsoever. To be clear, this is bad and should not happen on any devices ever.

Please manually reconnect the devices on your network in order to teach them about the new access points.
