I’m in the process of setting up a new Alta 6 Pro to replace my Aruba system. However, I’m encountering a significant issue: it takes 30 seconds to load the live video from my security cameras, and then it buffers every 3 seconds, adding another 30 seconds of delay. This problem doesn’t occur with the Aruba system.
I’ve configured a new IoT network with basic settings, but the buffering persists. I tried changing the channels to 10 for 2GHz (20 MHz) and 48 for 5GHz (80 MHz), but there was no improvement. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Moving to channel 10 won’t make any differnce and might make things worse - best to swap back to channel 11.
Your DTIM has been moved from the standard of 1 of 2.4G and 3 for 5Ghz, suggest you move them back to be as standard as possible.
You have switched off Multi-vlan - best to keep this on
Channel 48 is a little congested - best to move to 64 or 100.
You could then try moving the slider for air time efficiency 2.4 ghz down to 5500kbps as i had to lower mine for some older IOT devices.
Also download and upload rates on one screenshot show 0.0 - can you make sure this is set to no limit or something higher please (I am not sure if this mean no limit like it does on some other manufacturers or if it literally means zero)
Give those a whirl and then let us know how things are progressing…
I’m fixed it by creating another wireless network, had the device join it and then deleting and rejoining the old one. Seems like it was a fix for people who had slow speed with Alta AP.
