Multiple AP6-Pro units dead

Hi everyone,

I have a critical issue with 3 or 4 of my Alta Labs AP6-Pro access points installed at different locations. They have all completely died and exhibit the exact same symptoms.

The APs show absolutely no signs of life (no LED on the Alta logo). When plugged into a PoE switch, the switch port LED just flashes continuously (indicating a power delivery or load issue), but the AP refuses to boot or draw proper power. This started happening recently, in some cases right after a power cycle or reboot.

Luckily, I haven’t seen that myself with any AP6-Pros I’ve installed, although I have had a regular old AP6 die in a similar manner that ended up getting replaced.

But I’d definitely be curious about what’s going on there and I’m sure Alta would be to. If you haven’t already, I’d be sure to kick in a support request directly into them as well to make sure this is seen and they reach out to ASAP.
