Monitoring notifiers and requests from the POV of an MSP

Hey All,
Recently got my NFR and set it up. After talking with Cole from Alta who was super helpful he suggested I put my ideas here for further community backing.

  1. A notifier based of CPU temp exceeding a threshold
  • You have the CPU temp of things, I can utilize this like an environmental monitor without actually getting a separate environmental monitor. Example, a S8P switch in temp controlled closet in a high heat area, The AC fails in there or is off as CPU temp rises to X level, I can receive a notification to get someone to rectify the AC before a Temp based failure.
  1. External or WAN Ip’s of certain devices like the Route10 easily visible.
  • When I look at the dashboard of my route10, I have no easy way or real way to see what IP it got from DHCP or is set to Statically even if I go to the WAN port. Essentially the dashboard only shows its LAN IP and I have to go to another appliance to see what it was given DHCP or in the case of an ISP provided static just set it and forget. That to me makes troubleshooting a little more inconvenient
  1. Entra/SAML/SSO login through Microsoft.
  • I don’t think that needs to be explained.
  1. A higher level dashboard to add members.
  • as an MSP/HSIA/reseller etc, I solely own the Companies account and have to add a group or users to all sites to be able to support. I feel like I just need a Company/Enterprise style account system where I invite people to our space and then delegate a role to see or manage over all sites and add their own in my stead. (probably tied to number 3)

I think that covered everything I asked for, for the time being. Thanks for looking over my Request!

Hover over the LAN address of the Route10 in the Network tab to see the WAN addresses associated with the WAN interface. It will be the first one in the tooltip.

You can monitor with SNMP and create your own alert based on that data.

I recently too recommended the SAML IDP integration for site manager - feel free to vote for it here - SAML IDP integration for Site manager
