I noticed that there is a difference in settable and scanned frequencies/channels both for 2.4G and 5G bands.
Scanning covers Ch 1-11 for 2.4G and Ch 36-165 (at least presented) for 5G:
Meanwhile, settable channels are Ch 1-13 for 2.4G and Ch 36-140 for 5G.
Seems like scanning (or presentation) is based entirely on US regulations while settings are based on local, European, regulations. I’m currently lacking scan results for Ch 12-13, which are part of the local allowed channel range for 2.4G. Also, I get scan result presented for prohibited channels 144-165 on 5G (though obviously nothing broadcast there).
I guess a direct map between what is scanned for and what is settable is to be preferred.
