Update: I removed everything from the dashboard, recreated wifi, no extra VLans.
Reset AP’s and Route10, got everything setup from the dashboard, and sadly, it is still the same:

You mentioned your AP is ~60-67 dBm away from the other one.
Yes - should be okay.
But for testing, can you bring them closer together and see how it goes?
Once meshed, you can still put it back to the garage and see if the mesh will come up again?
So just for the initial pairing process to bring them very close together?
Hi, the Garage_AP isn’t in the garage right now, my two AP’s are right next to each other during this setup process
I do not know of any configurations that were made to your site previously. But I would advise you to create a new site and use those defaults. Delete your Alta components from Site 1 and adopt them to Site 2. Once confirmed, delete Site 1. Do not make any configuration adjustments. The only thing you should be adjusting is the SSID, and password. That is all.
yup, doing that right now.
@Beaker, you are a godsend - creating a new site did the trick. ty ty ty ty
It was a collaborative effort. Make the adjustments that you’d like in incremental steps to confirm you aren’t hindering the meshing capabilities.
my original site was pretty default, and not much was touched/tweaked.
Thank you so much, everyone, for your patience and amazing troubleshooting skillZ! I really appreciate it!
Thanks for arriving there for us @Beaker.
@dshuan911 I’m glad this is working for you now. In the future, you could use the same approach to minimize the example and make it easier to reproduce. That will help reduce the amount of spaghetti hitting the wall.
that makes sense, but just weird how the original site was pretty stock.
