Hi,
Is there anyone that experience the same issue as I have on my system?
It looks like everything is working, I have connection to my CCTV and my NAS online and they are updating with the correct time.
I also have not got any message that the WIFI is not working so I guess that is fine too.
But if I open the WEB page for Alta I get the following view.
Yes, in the /etc/resolv.conf file
Assume that the dns has been lost.
Add in something like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and should come back.
I have a few other posts with more detail.
Oh there is some information regarding this.
But I have not changed any settings and the system is the same as yesterday from my side. There has not been any upgrade either so why should this just not work anymore?
Agree with the thinking of nothing updated or changed, but seems something kills the file.
Suggest making the changes and confirming if it resolved the issue.
@Alta-Josh
As I am not a specialist in doing so I am afraid I will damage more then I fix.
First I don’t know on which item this should be done and then I am not sure how to do that at all.
But can also inform that this morning the interface looks different and I still have not done anything.
I can not hold the reset button because I am 1000km away.
After rebooting I need to add the Route 10 to the site?
What will happen to my WAN configuration?
What to do if this is not working then I will have lost all connection and there will be a lot of problems because I will not go home before in October this year.
Please send me some easy understandable reason why all my devices are disconnected except for the Rout 10 but still all devices are functioning including wireless and wired connection.
I am not sure what to do without loosing the whole internet when so far away.
Please help.
now again the same has happen. But this time IPv6 is disabled so there is something else and the DNS is set to 8.8.8.8 everywhere where I found it can be set.
Is there anyone that has a easy solution to this and just so you know I am not able to access the APs and the switches to see the suggested file.
Suggest you setup an SSH key so you can connect directly to it when it goes offline in the cloud controller, which will then let you validate that the file is missing some nameservers for ipv4
Not only will it allow you to check that file, but you will also be able to deploy some troubleshooting commands such as nslookup and ping directly from the network device.
