Loop Protection doesnt work?

So I am getting a broadcast storm right off the bat in my testing of loop protection, I thought there was some advanced loop protection algorithm or something?

It looks like the network is Route10 and an AP6-Pro? Or is there a switch that isn’t showing?

Loop protection is currently found and default enabled on our switch products. It is default disabled on Route10—not sure off-hand if we have existing plans there, but it’s not on the pending feature list at least, which is found on the Route10 datasheet and product page.

Its enabled in settings>system>advanced is this not applied to all site devices?

That setting only applies to our switches.

On the Route10, all interfaces are individually routed—there’s no built-in switch. While software bridges are present and could theoretically support STP, we disable it by default, and I can’t personally confirm whether we have plans to enable it in a future release.

As for our APs, any loop prevention is limited strictly to mesh functionality and doesn’t apply to wired Ethernet traffic.

Hope that helps clarify things a bit.

We do plan to have full STP support, including MSTP/RSTP/STP in a future Route10 release, but currently there is no STP support on the Route10.
