LAG on switch SFPs to Router SFPs

I was trying to set up the two switch SFP ports in LAG via the combine port type, to the two SFP ports on the router. The switch is showing it is down due to loop, i could not find a similar port setting in the router. I am thinking this is just by design that the ports dont have this option. Correct me if i am wrong but “any” port on the firewall can be “any” type? will we see this in the future? I dont really have a use case, was just bored and wanted to try it out lol

The switch beeing down due to a loop is most certainly due to the router not being able to handle LAG as the switch does. Both the switch and router must be able to handle LAG.

So, I was wondering the same. I’m planning to set up a 10" rack and with that comes the limitation of using the S8 switch. I would benefit from increasing the bandwidth to the S8 switch (which has Gigabit ethernet on all ports). The 2.5Gbps is not useful in that case, but a combined 1+1 Gbps link would be useful in communication between Route10 router and S8 switch.

Another option would be to use a compact switch with a 2.5Gbps uplink, of course, but that is not yet in the Alta Labs portfolio. Will there be in the near future?
