Kind of a Unique Question/Observation

My wife and I just moved into a new home and I setup our Wifi with a ceiling mounted AP6 and a Route 10. I used two SSIDs; one with WPA 3 and one with WPA 2. Just the option of WPA 3 and some of my IOT devices won’t play. Everything went fine as I connected everything from smart outlets, AppleTV’s, Macs, iPads, the doorbell camera, etc. However, the Overhead Door, actual brand name, opener refused to see any of my wifi networks while trying to connect the via the iOS OHD Anywhere app. After about an hour I called their support number and after another couple of hours they asked the builder to replace the unit. Unfortunately, the new unit did not help and the technician referred me back to OHD support. After another hour of frustration I unplugged the AP6 and hooked up an old UniFi U6 Lite. Ran the thru the OHD Anywhere app setup and voila, I added the opener to my Wifi. With this complete I switched back to my AP6 and the garage door is now online with Alta. To be clear the old Unify AP was setup with the same SSIDs/passwords from before I purchased the Alta devices. I also previously had an older Samsung TV that refused to connect via WiFi after switching to Alta, but I just plugged in a network cable and didn’t worry about it. I’m good now, but any ideas on what might be the cause?

The Wifi signal strength at the opener is excellent and the Overhead Doors brand is actually Genie’s high end line of openers.

First ensure you are on the latest firmware across the board please. Then, I would recommend testing a 2GHz SSID with the 5GHz disabled. I’ve been having some issues with a couple of old chromecast devices that won’t authenticate over 5GHz initially. Once connected a single time over a forced 2GHz wireless link, the 5GHz works fine again.

Oddly enough, I am not seeing any issues with IOT devices and Alta, whereas I have had some issues with previous Ruckus, TP-Link and Unifi setups. My Tesla charger would constantly go offline with some of those setups.
