Just got my AP6-pro today!

For the fun of it, I setup my old Eero router again and the light strips connected right to it. Same SSID name and everything.

Make sure you direct message Jeff or Matt. They are extremely eager to help fix these types of strange issues. They will work with you directly and figure out what’s going on. That is definitely very strange.

Any chance this is a WPA3 problem? Make absolutely sure WPA 3 and PMF are both off in ssid settings. Sorry if you have tried all of this already. Just trying to help brainstorm.

Matt helped me fix it, it ended up being the air-time efficiency for 2ghz was too high. We lowered that quite a bit and they connected right up. Thank-you everyone for the help!

When turning to auto it looks like the lowest is 11,000 kbps but the light strips wanted 2mbps or 2000kbps

I’ve never had better support from a network/router company ever! I’m glad to have purchased these devices and be a part of testing them out!

No more banging my head on the wall from offline IOT devices

Just an update after having this AP for a few days, everything is running great and I’ve been seeing network speeds over WiFi up to 850Mbps! Pretty fast if you ask me.

My IOT devices have also been super stable after figuring out what setting needed to be adjusted.

I have high hopes for Alta!

Update:

I have a second one coming in tommorrow, I’m thinking of putting it in my living room to extend signal.

Mounted them to the wall!
