Issue with re-adding router after Reset

Hi, firstly Happy New Year all. I had an issue today which lead me to have to factory reset my route 10, It didn’t go easy either, but I have managed to get it working after a full PoR reset as detailed here. Upon reset and accessing the alta online controller the Route 10 shows up as set up.

I’ve been through this one, and as soon as I run the setup it seems to find the previous configuration, which I accept as it all looks good, but once its run I lose everything again, nothing connects nothing displays in my online controller either and I have to go through the reset again, so for now I’m just leaving it as is.

The only thing I can think of is that when reconnecting it today, I had to add a VLAN tag for my ISP and I didn’t do that last time, if its using an old config then this might be the reason, is there a way to set it up from scratch?

Currently the router is flashing Red on the Alta Logo

As always any help appreciated.

If you want to completely delete the potentially erroneous config, you can delete the device from the site. Then when you add it back, it will use a brand new device config. There’s also a chance that your WAN config is causing issues, as well. In that case, you can delete all of your WANs, and/or try to add it to a brand new site instead of an existing one.

Thanks Jeff, I removed both the device and the WANs and that seems to have resolved the issue.

On a quick follow up to this. For both my switches they are now showing as disconnected even following a reboot of each device. Do I need to reset and set those up again?

Can you invite me and I can take a look? They should just reconnect if nothing else has changed with the site.
