Is there still no rack kit for Route10?

When’s this coming?

I wont sell gear that won’t rack, full stop.

Thanks!

Last update as of a couple of days ago from the live stream is it should be popping up in distribution sometime in September. For reference:

Any updates on this?? I need to secure the Route10 in my rack!

I saw them pop up at the distributor I use about a week ago I think and just put a couple on order. Not sure if they’re available through something like Amazon yet though.

@Hanz They are on their way to markets across the world. Distributors in North America will start seeing their stock arrive late this week/early next week. Our European partners will only be a week or so behind those. We are pushing hard and fast to get these into market. They are long overdue.

@luke.fong The rack mount accessory is designed so that the Route10, S8-POE and Control can be placed in either side of the rack accessory. Depending on where you place the Route10, you will need to remove the rubber shims on the bottom of the rack mount accessory. Then, there is a little friction sliding the Route10 forward, into position. We wanted to make sure the fit was nice and snug, to keep anything from moving around. As a clarifier, if you use Control and S8-POE, the rubber shims need to remain in place. They can easily be removed or reinstalled. There is no need to peel off the rubber feet on any of the Alta gear.

We should be dropping a video a little later this morning on how this all works as well.

I’ll chime in further when I have chance to play around with the rack mount myself, but I spotted there’s a datasheet on rackmount now

Just received my rack mount accessory today. Installed the Route10 and the Control. My experience was such that I thought I had received a defective unit. When placing the Route10 in the accessory, it appeared as though the unit would not fit flush with the front unlike the Control.

I tried both sides and I wasn’t getting the warm and fuzzy feeling as it seemed like the Route10 would just not go in all the way. Before anyone asks, yes, I had removed the shims and I didn’t want to force it. After wrestling the shims back into place, I installed the Control.

With the accessory lying on a table I placed the Route10 into it and with both hands placed at the back of the unit, slid it towards the front. This time it seemed to go in but it still wasn’t flush. Pushing it a little more, it finally slid into place. You will feel this as it is a friction fit.

A couple of observations, however: The shims will try your patience when you try to reinstall them, they just don’t seem to want to go in, so my advice is to first decide which side you want to install the Route10 to and remove only those.

Don’t be afraid to push the Route10 in to get it flush with the front. I did notice some tiny white bits of plastic being scraped off when I was trying to install it initially, however I didn’t see any real damage to the casing of the Route10.

Are there any UK distributors with them yet?

Good overview! I received mine but haven’t had a chance to play around with it yet.

I noticed this video was posted to their YouTube channel yesterday which does call out the need pull out the rubber shims for the Route10 to mount properly.
