Is AP6 PRO expected to do 4096-QAM with wifi 7 clients?

Just curious, is it expected that wifi 7 clients should be able to do 4K-QAM with good signal or is it only achievable for some special client chipsets?

I have upgraded my laptop to an intel be200 network card and I get reliable phy speeds of 1201/12001 (for 80MHz channel width) near my AP6 pro, but never higher.

I have looked at the output from the “iw” command (and a really quick look in wireshark) and it seems to only list MSC11 under HE capabilities so it would be interesting to know how higher speeds can be negotiated.

I am satisfied with the performance but I am still curious about what should be possible

Checked my PC, with WiFi 7 card (Qualcomm FastConnect 7800), and the device is listed in the devices list at max TX/RX rate of 2402/2882 at -41 to -43 dB. On the Win 11 PC side the information is 2.8 Gbit/s and Signal strength five full green bars. The antenna is placed in line of sight at appr. 4 m from the ceiling mounted AP6 Pro.

The uplink at 1 Gbps should at least be well saturated.
