IOT Network allowed lan connections

Hello there,

Looking at the article Different Network Types : it mentions that IOT networks are configured so that they

Blocks all LAN connections by default, but if another device on the LAN attempts first to connect to this device, communication between the two devices will be allowed.

Does this mean that without a repeat connection from LAN, IOT would have allowance to that LAN device? even after some time? like if you access it from LAN, would IOT be able to access the LAN device hours later, if LAN did not repeat access? or is it an expiring allowance?

Think of it as an Established connection in a firewall. That connection will terminate and once the connection is terminated that one IoT device wouldn’t be able to re-establish a connection back to the original LAN device.

Great thanks Matt
