I changed S24-POE fans for Noctuas Fans

I have a small server rack in my office and I installed the switch 24 ports POE. It makes little noise (~55dB) but since my office is very quiet (more like 40-45dB), it feels like a Boeing. I decided to change the original fans to Noctuas 40x40x20mm fans. It wasn’t an easy process, but it is not that hard if you take time.

Now the temperature is between 38 and 40 degrees. I think it is a pretty good average since Ubiquiti fanless switches turn around that (35 to 50 degrees).

If I end up keeping the switch I am going to be doing the same. Glad it went well for you and is working!

I had to do a little bit of Frankenstein between Noctua and the original fans (time of the video, 3:58) but now it is running very quietly at around 45 dB.
