Anyone else with a AP6 Pro have a very high pitched sound? Sitting at my desk and the AP across the room can very clearly hear it. Maybe I got a dud?
I’ve also noticed this with the Pro’s, not so much the standard AP’s.
In fact, I returned one due to this, only to discover that the replacement made the same high pitch frequency noise.
Haven’t seen it impact performance.
I worked a lot with the AP Pro in close proximity in the last few weeks and did not hear anything, infact I did not see anything movable when I opened it up, so it might be a faulty IC in yours.
This is the first I’ve ever heard of this. How are you powering your units?

I have two AP-Pro’s
1 - Directly attached to a Route10 - PoE
2 - Directly attached to an S16 - PoE
Both produce the same sound. I’ve also attempted to migrate all AC power to a completely different circuit.
Once again, I haven’t seen an impact on performance, but I’ve yet to migrate my existing network to the Alta stack. Only time will tell.
@Edin702 @Beaker Since this is the first we’ve heard of this, if you can reach out to support, we would be willing to swap out your units with brand new ones so that we can identify the root cause of the noise.
I’ll consider this option.
