We are testing an ap6 pro, and are seeing some really strange ping results, on my iphone the ping results are good. But on my ipad and macbook the ping goes up and down really fast.
Couple of questions for you. How close are you to the AP? What is the signal strength on the client you are bringing from?
1 meter from the ap… 
That quite honestly may be too close. These APs have extremely well tuned radios and antenna patterns and that very likely is too much signal. I would try from farther away and / or perhaps turn down the power while testing from that close.
